People with a Pflegegrad (German care level, 1 to 5) are entitled to the monthly Entlastungsbetrag (relief allowance) from the long-term care insurance. It can be used for recognized everyday-support services under Section 45a SGB XI – for example, for care services or household support.
Unused amounts can be carried over. Important: any relief allowance not used in the previous year can generally still be used until June 30 of the following year. After that, it expires.
We're happy to advise you personally and without obligation on how to make the best use of your relief allowance and for which services reimbursement through your Pflegekasse may be possible.
